Contest Rules - Back


  1. Prizes: Southside Creative Group will design a logo and brand guidelines for your small business.
  2. Eligibility: To participate in the Big Brand for Small Business Contest (the "Contest"), entrants must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident within the contiguous 48 United States. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited by law. Southside Creative Group employees and their respective families are not eligible to enter the Contest.
  3. Contest Period: The entry period for the Contest begins at 8 a.m. on February 8, 2010, and ends at 12 p.m. EST on March 24, 2010 ("Entry Period"). Entries received before or after the Entry Period will not be considered.
  4. Contest Details: The Contest is open to companies of up to 200 people, but not to corporate entries. If you are selected as the Contest winner, you agree that Southside Creative Group may publicize your name and likeness. Apart from the prizes associated with being selected as a winner, Southside Creative Group shall not be obligated to compensate you in any way for such publicity.
  5. How to Enter: Visit Southsidecreative.com and enter your first and last name, company name, and e-mail.
  6. Ownership Rights in Submissions: Each entrant shall indemnify, defend, and hold Southside Creative Group harmless from anythird party claims arising from or related to that entrant's participation in the Contest. In no event shall Southside Creative Group be liable to an entrant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the Contest or that entrant's participation in the Contest.
  7. Prizes and Taxes: If any winner chooses not to accept the prize, an alternate winner will be chosen. All federal, state, and local taxes on the value of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. A 1099 tax statement will be filed with the IRS for the winner and the winner will be required to sign a W-9 form and various agreements. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize.
  8. General Conditions: By Lawyers, For Lawyers: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the judges,which will be final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Southside Creative Group, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Southside Creative Group reserves the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest, and/or to judge entries from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to such action.
